THE DANGERS OF ANGER CONTINUED...

Resentment is anger that has been repressed. We just push it down and don't
deal with it. It is subtle and suppressed. It's quiet.
Rage is directed toward people. It can be very destructive. Open warfare
against someone.
As long as we allow anger to suppress itself. We are poisoning ourselves.
Indignation: (Mark 10:13) A desire to help someone who is wrong. Help
someone out of love. A righteous form of anger.

Causes:
1. We don't get our way. We throw a tantrum. They express their anger.
When we do this we are sinning against God. It's not righteous indignation,
it is pure sin against God.
2. We feel unloved and rejected.
3. Loss (Finances, jobs, relationships)
4. Person feels threatened. (They feel they might be in danger. They might
feel crowded
Sexual abuse through family) Until you deal with anger it's like ever flowing
poison in a person's system.
5. Pass events that someone or even they have done to themselves.
Our actions and our attitudes are a result of their inner anger.
6. People are unwilling to deal with their anger. They try to suppress and
keep it inside.

Effects:
1. Innocent people are always caught in the result of someone's anger.
2. Heart attacks, Strokes.
3. Passive Aggression (Level of Resentment that is cause by unresolved
conflicts)
Depression, Overeating, Drinking, Shopping and Drug Abuse

IMMEDIATE THINGS DURING THE ANGER
1. Do not make important decisions when you're angry.
2. Don't make judgments on other people when you're angry.
 Prov 14:7, 15:18, 16:32, 19:19
3. Be slow to anger. Prov 22:24-25, Ecc 7:9, James 1:19-20

SOLUTIONS
1. We must admit they we are angry. We must fess up to our anger.
2. We identify what we are angry at. If we don't identify it, we misdirect
it to the wrong people. Ask ourselves why we are angry. What's causing us to
act this way. Anger always has a source. Find out when this anger started.
3. We must deal with the anger quickly. (Ephesians 4:26-27)
4. We must forgive those that hurt just like God has forgiven us. (Ephesians
4:32)
God paid our sin debt in full for past, present, and future sins that we have
committed against Him. How can we be unforgiving against someone, when God
has already forgiven me. How can we be unforgiving against someone, when God
has already forgiven that person (Saved and Unsaved). I can't be angry,
bitter and resentful and at the same time be forgiving. Our responsibility
is to lay it down on the Lord's table and give thanks to the table and thank
Him for forgiving me. Our Heavenly Father's forgiveness is sufficient and
eternal.
5. Learn to identify those things that frequently tick you off. It may be
something happens very often or once in a while. Identify areas that are
very sensitive to you.
We have the Holy spirit on the inside of us to enable us to respond in a
Godly fashion.
We may hurt, but the Holy spirit can strengthen us through those difficult
times.
We will be able to handle those things that cause us to be angry.
We must make our anger very brief. The Holy Spirit had given us the capacity
to deal with anger when it hits. He gives us the capacity to focus on the
Lord, instead of on the hurt and the person that caused the hurt.
God gives us the gift of peace, contentment, and joy to those that are
willing to come to Him and ask for it.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, forgive us for the animosity we have
at those who mistreat us. Forgive us Lord for holding anger against someone
and not having an unforgiving spirit. Sometimes Lord we take Salvation and
Grace through Jesus for granted and for that we also ask forgiveness. Lord
God thank You for convicting us through Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for
letting us know that You have forgiven us time and time again. Thank You for
paying our sin debt in full, past, present, and future on the cross. Thank
You for the new mercies that You bestow upon us each and every day. Lord God
thank You for letting us realize that You could easily have not forgiven us,
but because of Your nature and the type of God You are, You are perfect and
matched by no one and You love us like no one else. Thank you for continuing
to mold and shape us into Godly men and women. Thank you for never giving up
on us, despite if other people have. Thank you for letting us know that You
are not finished with us yet, and that you have more roads and journeys for
us to travel. Teach us Lord how to be slow to anger and slow to speak out
when we are angry. Lord give us the fruit of the spirit and allow it to fall
fresh on us in the only way that You can. Help us to get over our past hurts
and give us the strength and the courage to forgive those who have hurt us in
the past. Help us to release the bondage that this anger has over us. Thank
You for letting us know that this anger that we have is like poison to our
bodies, souls, and minds. Lord God help us to focus on You and only You, not
the person and not the hurt. Help us to turn on the Light and shine in Jesus
name.

Amen

God loves You and so do I,
Malcolm
